| i LOVE my little guy |
1.) I'm from a very, very small town in Northern Indiana. The kind where everybody knows everybody. At times it's nice because you can't go anywhere without seeing a familiar face, but other times it's exhausting because everyone is constantly in everybody's business.
2.) I have 3 brothers and
4 sisters. I was born a twin, but lost my sister and bestfriend shortly after our 16th birthday when a drunk driver hit her. Of my siblings, 3 are adopted and the other 4 are biological. My oldest brother, Jeremy, is 35 and my youngest sister, Mariah, is 17 and a senior in high school. I fall right in the middle, and I like it :)
3.) I am currently in college, studying biology, hoping to either go to med school or to go to grad school to study medical research. I graduated once before, but two and a half years ago I was in a car accident that almost took my life away. After being in a coma for 10 weeks and going through
hell extensive rehab (to learn everything all over again, even the simple things- reading, writing, ABC's, numbers, shapes, colors, speaking- all of it +walking and such), I got a job and an internship-type opportunity at a hospital to take some time to see what I wanted to do with my life.
4.) I miss my sister every hour of every day and I would give anything to have her back. She was my best friend in the whole wide world and there is no one that can ever replace her. There are just so many things about me that no one else could ever understand like she could. However, I know that I always have someone watching over me, guiding me, loving me, and protecting me. I know on that warm, summer night when my life was hanging on the line, my sister was pulling some serious strings with the big guy upstairs, she may be younger than me, but she's always acted like my mother :) I love you Madii :)
5.) My grandmother (on my father's side) died in a plane crash, when she was leaving Hawaii, when my dad was 13. Because of this, the first time that I flew, was when I was 18, almost 19. And I flew alone. My dad has never flown, as long as I have been alive, and I don't think he ever will.
6.) I am a HUGE sports fan. The Indianapolis Colts are my professional football team, the Notre Dame Fighting Irish are my college football boys, the Indiana Hoosiers are my men's basketball team. I love fast cars, open spaces and being active.
7.) I'm super allergic to cats and I've also never been much of a cat person, I think most of this stemming from the fact that they make my eyes itch, my throat close up and they make me sneeze like CRAZY.
8.) The Jersey Shore is my guilty pleasure.
9.) When I
grow up graduate I really want to work in the medical field. Medical research is basically my back-up plan in case I decide that I can't put myself through all of the schooling. I would love to work in obstetrics or in trauma, something like that.
10.) I absolutely love snow. I know most people hate the cold, and hate the snow- especially those that have to deal with it on a regular basis, however when the flurries begin to fall, it changes my mood- instantly! It's soo soo soo awesome! Plus, I don't mind it being cold out if it's going to snow :)
11.) I have one idol and one idol only and my idol is Audrey Hepburn. I absolutely
love adore Audrey and all of the marvelous things that she accomplished in her lifetime. She was a wonderful, wonderful lady and I wish to someday be half of what Audrey was.
12.) I've had the same bestfriend since the 6th grade, other than my sister, Madii. Obviously my sister will always be my number one bestfriend, and my oldest sister, Megan, is a pretty close second- but outside of my family, my friend Rebecca has been by my side since middle school :) It's been nothing close to
fun easy being my friend, but I am so thankful for her
13.) When I'm taking time away from my studies, I always turn the tv to the Food Network, without even thinking. I love to cook and I love to bake and I'm always looking for new recipes to try!
14.) I want to have at least 4 kids. Coming from a larger family has done nothing except make me want to have one as well. Now I just have to convince my honey that we can have a big family ;)
15.) I have been through a lot of good times in my life, but I've been through far more bad times. With that being said, I wouldn't change a thing. I miss my sister like crazy and I would give anything for her to be here with me, but everything happens for a reason, everything that happens to you molds you and shapes you into the person that you are meant to be. I am a firm believer in this. I would never change one thing about my life, for if I did, I probably wouldn't have met my baby, and he is the best thing that has ever happened to me. I do wish everyday that my sister could be here to help me plan my wedding, to witness the birth of my children, and to help me through the tough times like only she can- but I instead have the best guardian angel watching over me and those I love. Joining my sister is Erich, with these two watching over me, I know that I am always in good hands.
